The Vermont State Youth Council considers applications from Vermont’s youth to fill the Council’s vacancies on an annual basis, typically in April and May of each year. If selected by the Council, youth will be appointed to 3-year terms.

The Council is currently accepting applications from youth from Essex, Grand Isle, Rutland, and Windham counties.The deadline to apply for these 3-year terms beginning in Fall 2026 is September 6, 2026. All applicants will be notified of the Council’s selection decision in September 2026.
